I recently stayed at Archontiko Old Town Suites for 3 nights during my visit to Rethymnon. The hotel is housed in a beautifully refurbished old building, just a short 2-minute walk from the bustling center of town. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. What really stood out was the warm welcome from Anna, who made me feel like part of the family. She went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay, offering welcome drinks and homemade sweets. The breakfast buffet was delightful, with a nice selection that included homemade treats. Anna's hospitality and attention to detail truly made my holiday unforgettable. I highly recommend this accommodation.
Do recommend this hotel.

I had always wanted to visit the Archaeological Museum of Rethymno and chose Archontiko Old Town Suites solely for its location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's additional offering of bike and car hire. The availability of these services made it convenient for me to explore other areas of Rethymno easily. Moreover, I particularly enjoyed the stylish villa with its beautiful tile/marble floor, soundproofing, and barbecue facilities.
Smaller room than expected.

We found a charming hotel in the charming old town. We stay on a quiet street but the location was perfect to explore the area. Our hosts were kind and helpful, sharing insider knowledge about the neighborhood and recommending good places to eat. Our room was well-maintained, cozy, and had a historical touch. Breakfast was delicious, especially with the view of the old town from the rooftop terrace. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as fresh fruit in the room and complimentary tea.
The Wi-Fi signal was weak in our room, but we understand that stone walls can be challenging to overcome.

Spending Easter at this hotel was a delightful experience. The hotel's central location made everything easily accessible on foot. The rooftop terrace was an incredible spot to enjoy the stunning views and unwind after a day exploring the area. The comfortable and clean rooms were additionally a key highlight. the fantastic staff was always available to assist us with anything we needed, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.
It's tough to think of anything negative about my stay at the hotel. However, a few touches of the interior were still in progress, and the cafe area was not yet ready.

The hotel has a charming lobby. The continental buffet breakfast was a cut above the average, with a nice variety of food to choose from. The location in the touristy old town was excellent -- we were right in the heart of the hustle and bustle, with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Plus, the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
The hotel only accepts cash payments, which was a bit confusing. While they say that paying with a card is possible, they seem reluctant to do so.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we chose the right place. The luxurious room had exclusive amenities, including a private terrace, and the in-room breakfast was delicious. The service was outstanding; the staff went above and beyond to fulfill our needs. The sun terrace offered panoramic views of the surrounding area, and the location was perfect for walking everywhere easily.
The only minor issue we encountered was the lack of a leisure/TV room. However, the bar/lounge area offered a cozy atmosphere and excellent drinks that more than made up for it.
